Pink and Black Abstract

This mani was inspired by this gorgeous mani by LOVE4NAILS.  She is awesome!!!  Her mani is much more intricate than mine.  I decided to simplify because 1--my nails are shorter and 2--the more details you add the more opportunities to mess them up LOL! 

First I put on 3 coats of the glitter polish all over the nail.  Then I outlined where I wanted my black area with a black striper polish.  I then filled that area in with black polish.  Next I did the pink half French mani.  I used the black striper polish for the black stripes, and a dotting tool for the black dots.  Finally I added the silver stripe with silver striping polish.

Blue and Silver Stripes

This was a bit time consuming and very difficult for me to do on my right hand.  I lovethe way those colors look together.

Purple with White Flowers

I finally got smart and used acrylic paint to do my flowers.  It's easier than doing them in nail polish because if you mess up you can wipe it off with a wet paper towel and not mess up your base.  The hardest thing about this mani is that I had to do a simple flower because it had to be something I could do with my left hand.  I always want to do elaborate designs, but I'm not steady enough with my left hand.  I'm happy with this though, and I'll keep practicing so I can get fancier!

I've been wanting to do an all stripe mani for a while, but couldn't decide on the colors.  I picked gold and silver because I don't use them very often and they are beautiful polishes.

4th of July Mani

I was very happy with how this turned out.  First I painted the entire nail red.  Then I did with white stripes, the blue tips and finally, the silver glitter stripe.  If I do this one again, I'll make the white stripes thicker.
